The workshop was held on May 18, 2017 at Aman-CED building of IBA, Main campus. Aman-CED in collaboration with NOWPDP has set foot in this initiative in order to empower the people with special needs by supporting them with the rope of entrepreneurship, which can play a major role in catering to the issue of unemployment within this segment of the society.

The participants attended the workshop with great zeal and enthusiasm. The workshop started with an ice-breaking session, where several participants shared their personal experiences and hurdles in finding a good pathway to earn a living for themselves. Next, the aims and objectives of the program were explained which stated that “KHUD MUKHTAR” is a business idea competition which aims at preparing the first batch of entrepreneurs with special needs in Pakistan. The Competition has 4 phases: Registration and business plan submission, Mentorship sessions, Screening of top 20 business ideas, and Final Presentation to jury and selection of up to 10 business ideas for funding.

“KHUD MUKHTAR” is a platform which will act as a bridge, where the more educated segments of the society will share their entrepreneurial skills and knowledge with the special persons, to give them the confidence and independence to stand up and contribute to the economy of their country.
