The highly anticipated evening of orientation ceremony of CED's flagship program of Certificate in Entrepreneurship was held on 2nd September 2016. The splendid ceremony of collaboration between IBA CED and Nestle Pakistan began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. The ceremony was honored with the presence of Dean & Director IBA Dr. Farrukh Iqbal, along with Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Chairman of the Department of Management, Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Program Director ,Center for Entrepreneurial Development,Madiha Javed Qureshi Manager Public Affairs Nestle representative, CED Team and Faculty.

Dr. Shahid Qureshi settled the stage by introducing the roots of the beginning of this certificate program in 2012. Dr. Qureshi was delighted to share the outcomes as the idea which was canvassed in 2012 has grown into an established program with the graduation of two batches of Entrepreneurship Development Program and two batches of Certificate in Entrepreneurship program within a span of four years. He later on, highlighted the core contents and themes of this course of certification.

Madiha Qureshi, Nestle Representative, also an IBA alumnus, took the floor and discussed the significance of Entrepreneurship and Small Business generation framed with the Agriculture sector in Pakistan, owing to the fact of Pakistan's Economy being heavily dependent on Agriculture and related industries.

After a small engaging session with Ms. Madiha, the participants and faculty welcomed Dr. Farrukh Iqbal to grace the ceremony with a few words. In his speech he stressed upon the fact that Entrepreneurship is the solution of many problems which Pakistan is facing today. He stressed that the employment opportunities that need to be created in the coming Four years can never be achieved without an exponential boost in the numbers of small businesses and new startups.

There after the Dean & Director and Participants gathered for a group picture in the AMAN CED Building's Foyer after which refreshments were served and the participants had an opportunity to have an honorable presence of Dean & Director over a cup of tea.
