KAPCO - Entrepreneurship for Engineers (E4E)Register Online

kapco

The KAPCO-E4E program is an initiative of the Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. Focusing and reaching the common youth of Pakistan and providing them an opportunity to discover their entrepreneurial characteristics and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. IBA is a leading business school famous for its Business Education. IBA has been producing managers for the last 50 years. This initiative will open avenues in a different dimension and enable the Engineers to play a more significant role in developing the economy of the country.

It is aimed at targeting those young engineering students who have an ambition of starting a technology business and at those professional engineers who are now experienced enough to start their own technical venture. The class, therefore, will be a combination of students from engineering universities of Karachi and experienced engineers from the local industry. It is proposed that at least one faculty member from each engineering university is inducted as a participant to gain an understanding of how a business course for technical audience can be run. This will on one hand give impetus to the prospects of starting entrepreneurship courses in engineering universities while on the other the presence of faculty in a class, half of which will be comprised of professionals from the industry, will also give rise to the academia-industry collaboration.

The program is innovative in terms of curriculum; it is manageable for engineering students as the classes will commence only on Saturdays in the second half of the day. The pedagogy is unique and a mix of traditional, experiential, hands on exercises to develop skills and value strengthening exercises
