Introduction to Marketing session held on 19th March at BUITEMS, Quetta
The instructor started the session with the summarization of previous learnings. This session was related to the 5 P's of Marketing-Product, Price, Place, Promotion and Packaging. She took great time to explain each of these P's in-depth and asked the participants to apply the concept to their own product/service offerings. The activity for the day involved participant grouping into 4 main business categories; Embroidery/Stitching, Arts & Crafts, Personal Care and Education, to get exposure to the wide variety of products and services that their peers are offering. Ms. Uzma continuously emphasized on conducting market research through this activity.
After that Ms. Uzma discussed two case studies i.e. of Sadia's Boutique & Farzana's Salon. She asks the participants about the strength, weaknesses & opportunities that the both women entrepreneurs had. The participants actively participated by giving suggestion that how their business can be improved?

2. Can reduce wastage by saving cloth pieces and make clothes for children
3. The struggle of ensuring Quality and innovation
Then participants were given worksheets that need to be filled sitting in collaborative space, they discussed ideas and united their insights on market visits.
