IBA CED's Session on Exploring Social Entrepreneurship

IBA Center of Entrepreneurial Development in continuation of imparting entrepreneurial knowledge among its course participants, alumni's, incubates and fellows organized a session on "Exploring Social Entrepreneurship" by Ms. Fiza Farhan, a leading Global Strategic Development Advisor, graduated from LUMS and a postgraduate from Warwick Business School, United Kingdom on Thursday, 4th November 2021 at IBA City Campus Karachi.

Fizza, who is also recognized as a global spokeswoman on women empowerment shared her successful life journey, challenges, and experiences towards becoming an entrepreneur. She covered different aspects that are necessary for growing and scaling a startup internationally like CAGE framework, transfer of skills, contingency plan, working speed, negotiation skills, capital adequacy, scenario planning other important perspectives.

She highlighted and advised audience to be humble, polite, learn new skills, believe yourself, take small steps, strengthen networking, have courage, listen to your inner voice and be vigilant in receiving signals from the universe. She said that the entrepreneurial journey is continuous and there is no limit. A person should learn from mistakes & failures; She also advised some valuable readings to audience which includes stories from Walt Disney, McDonalds, and other big names to understand from their struggle, failures, and success.

Towards the end, the audience had Q&A session with the speaker. The session concluded with thankyou note and a presentation of plaque by Prof. Dr. Shahid Qureshi - Program Director CED and Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, IBA Karachi.
